Letters About Literature Featuring Texas Author Nikki Loftin ( Texas Center for the Book)

So one of the most fun parts about being
an author is receiving letters from young readers when they come in email or
in the mail. It’s so exciting for me. The letters
about literature campaign is a perfect way for young readers who found a book
that changed their life to reach out to the author whether the authors living or
dead and express what that book means to them.Fourth through 12th graders across
Texas are encouraged to work with their local librarians or teachers to create
letters and send them into the nationwide competition. For more
information on the letters about literature program go to tsl.texas.
gov/lettersaboutliterature. There are so many books waiting for you in
your libraries. So many stories full of magic, adventure, or whatever you love.
Find them, and keep on reading.
