  5. C'est surtout un peu de reconfort pour un pays plein de paradoxes comme Vargas Llosa lui même: Un péruvien sans vraiment en être un.

  6. @BadWithNames123 this is for literature, Obama has won the nobel peace prize, so don't talk about issues you seem not to know enough about……and this year's nobel peace prize has been giving to an imprisoned human rights activist in china. what definitely was an important decision to show china they can't treat their own people that mean.

  7. @ledzepgirl92 it is all a facade. they blame china and they are right about it but western countries especially usa is not better. they are just pointing fingers at others.
40 million people in the usa are on food stamp.. or 1000 9/11 responders died of cancer and other diseases caused by toxic waste.. that sounds at least as "mean" : P

  8. @BadWithNames123 but in the USA the rights of freedom of speach, freedom of press, media, religion and mind to exist. In china you get arrested for just saying one word the chinese government doesn't want you to. You have the right to say what's wrong in your country, others don't have this right.

  9. @ledzepgirl92 haha.. freedom of media in the usa.. that was a good one 😉 it is all owned by right wingers light murdoch and bloomberg and they are very close to uk too.. an articel about uk´s new elite
"Well, not quite half, but over and over you will read that someone in the ‘new elite’ once worked for either the Times or News of the World or are currently married to someone who works for Times. "

americans seem to have stockholm syndrome ; )

  10. @BadWithNames123 oh, hearing that sounds nasty. But still you have freedom of speech? I hope so :/ But a half democracy still is much better to live in then in a 100% dictatorship.

  11. @ledzepgirl92 yes i agree with you that china and other countries are pretty fucked up.. i just wanted to make a point that america it isnt all that good neither. the times of the american dream seem to be over.
fi think the best summary about world news right now is the keiser report on the youtue channel "russia today" show from yesterday watch?v=GdjE7KmS0Ag

  13. @dfmary0401 kind? well, not kind to Tibetians. And censoring google doesn't seem kind at all. But of course you'll claim this all to be evil western propaganda

  15. @dfmary0401: A suppressing regime, totalitarian state, with nothing to offer the world but cheap labour. A country where this and many other forums that create unity in the world, are censored. Of course there are Chinese like Ai Weiwei, but most are indifferent to their feeble repelling government. 我知道,我住在中国的时间太长了。

  16. @KrfNYC2 I'm Peruvian and Gabo is my man too. But we can't deny Mario is still a great writer, he's a genious.
